It's not really a massacre. One of the dancers is brutally punished for something, I forgot what it was, and basically as one dancer is doing her dance in another room, she's doing a MIRROR image of the same moves...now, you think about what that means...everything the dancer in the other room does, she does the opposite thing - meaning...bending, twisting....uuuugh I'm too squeamish!!!

I think you were right about the remake.
it's VERY artistic.
I love the 1977 one, of course, maybe a bit better.
Because I liked the random chaos with not much substance...it was made for scares, period.

I think that's why "The Exorcist" still lives in infamy as the most horrific film of the age.
There's horror, but an incredible story woven through it, with fabulous acting, a great story, a bittersweet resolution... you can see why in 1973, audiences were flocking to it like moths to flames. there is something so intrinsic about it. This is a movie that should be on every list. People will argue, "I like my horror without a plot, thanks."

Do yourselves a favor. See it anyway.

And PLEASE for God's sakes, DON'T watch the sequel

@scribesunlimited @irresponsiblepics have you seen The Taking of Deborah Logan? It's about an elderly woman coming down with Alzheimers. However, due to past events one can't really tell if she's getting sick or if something more sinister is happening to her. Pretty good.

(1) Horror is my go to genre, interested in seeing the new Dahmer series (not sure if is truly horror) but havent watched any new horror movies in a long time.

(2.5) Horror Games: Resident Evil (Seried), Dead Space (1&2), Mortal Kombat kinda counts XD, The Evil Within, Limbo, Little Nightmares, Silent Hill (the list goes on)
Horror Movies: Afflicted 2013, The Ring 1&2 remake, SilentHill, The Thing, Pontypool, Evil Dead, Conjuring, The Shrine, Vampire Hunter D (1&2), Stranger Things, Dawn Of The Dead (2004) lots more
(stealing your Pan's Labyrinth and V.H.S. and interested in checking out the others) XD

(3) Chris Cunningham (visual director) - loved his work on Apex Twin, Madonna Frozen and PS4 commercials
(4) Yep to work on the comic listen to this alot: 10 hour Dark Ambience - by Relax Cafe Music

(5) Pre Covid, when I lived in USA party with friends,
in Trinidad -my neighborhood gives candy to kids (we did today)

(6) Love for horror is Fear of the unknown, the mystery element, high contrast lighting.

(7) All choices have their downsides, Vampire- people usu think I look like one too XD

(8) No haven't, although I did dream a monster from my comic the night I was working on it's first panel

(9) Yep, working on one called I'm Not A Sick Boy. It's a spin on the infection genre and Covid, started as an action-game idea originally:

"You've had a flu before right? Tried to avoid infecting loved ones and colleagues?
What if those infected by you mutate into man eating monsters?
They step within your social distance and you watch in terror as they instantly mutate before your eyes! You unwillingly start an outbreak !
You become a threat to your species and a worse a madman spins your situation into a grisly game!"

Such is the dilemma of young brothers Evan and Owen, they hope to reunite with their parents during an outbreak they unwillingly caused.
