I had this experience... I mean losing my keys and my car keys at that. It's been a week and they were nowhere to be found. I was afraid that somebody will find them in the grass in front of our building and just press the button and the car will tell him exactly which door they open! While thinking that, I had to cuddle my baby to sleep and came to the window to look out... To my amazement I saw my car going away ...I almost collapsed!! They were stealing it in front of my eyes for gods sake!!
... Well... It turned out my father found them and took the car to fuel it... but couldn't tell me, because I was cuddling the baby to sleep. It was a close one 
Pfew!
