I’m kinda curious... did everyone lose followers recently (like within the last two weeks)? And was it sort of unusual? It seems like it’s happened on a lot of people’s most recent chapters.

I am sure I have lost viewers because of an opinion, view, message or such that the update conveyed. You can't please everyone and some people find it hard to continue reading something that clashes too much with their views. Or it could just be that the story is not their type and the update was merely a confirmation that things won't change the way they hope. Or the scene was just too much for them.

You can't please everyone and while is depressing the lose a subscriber, you have to take it gracefully because leaving quietly is the most polite thing to do and the right to do when someone doesn't like your work. We do it too so of course will too. And that's ok.

I've lost loads of followers recently, lost 6 with my most recent update but this month I've gained 14 followers and lost... also 14 followers.
I thought I was finally gaining some traction after a few months of gaining 40-70 subs per month but this is the first month my comic has had no growth at all. I'm not sure if it was the app update removing recently updated from the front page or a change in algorithm, if March is just a bad month, or if people really don't like the most recent pages.
My comic is still pretty small so I have no idea if this is a normal thing to expect.

I usually lose a couple every update, probably because I think people will subscribe to comics they haven't read yet and updating reminds them about your comic, where they then decide that the comic wasn't for them. Some subs I lose because I don't update enough and I've actually noticed I've regained people who've unsubbed after becoming more frequent with posting.
The most I lost was around ~20+ after doing a post for Pride Month. (which I thought was weird bc it's a central theme in my comic), but it also got a lot of activity and subscribers, so I think it meant a lot to the people who needed it!

Guess people didn't like the Vermont Pigman... come on, guys, this is a horror comic, with monsters going after kids! Oh, well...

Childhood memories maybe?
I once drew a ... nsfw version of Maja the Bee ... sort of the version of "a few years after". Not drawn very well I must admit ... but did get the reactions I feared. x)
People have their memories of their past. Romantically and I guess: They do not like them to be messed with?

I'm sorry, but this picture is a bit ambiguous. Like, it's hard so say, does Pigman just eating this deer, or eating and fucking in the same time? Maybe those readers, who unsub, were upset because of this... Or it's just my lewdness...

Nah, I don't think that this picture is great and definitely not one of my best, so I am not really hurt by the fact people didn't like it. But this is one curious point of view...

Lost one subscriber because he decided he didn't like that two male side characters were in a long term relationship. He decided to pop off about all kinds of homophobic trash. So I lost that reader because he was a jerk and because he was banned xD

iirc theyre friends with shadman too which is an automatic big ole unsubscribe for me. i dont trust a single person who consumes his content.

Asides my Teltetubbie incident I believe this to be true. I noticed that some of the accounts that had no profile picture and collected a bunch of random comics despaired. Maybe the simply unsubscribed but looked more like those accounts were no longer there.

Meh it's better than actually beating your meat to his content. I mean, they've known the guy for like 13 years or something, so again, though I'm in complete agreement with you, you can't expect them not to support a friend whose content they at least saw as "purposeful edge"
