Yeah! Some relationships that are a little gritty can be great too! Actually there's no such thing as perfect so it feels more real as well

Ooh... I love that one when done well. Especially when it takes a while for them to realize that this has happened. I seem to be overly fond of clueless romantic partners.

When the big moment happens, and they kiss, and finally they're dating... but the story is NOT ending. That should be done more often.

This is figuratively squeezing the life out of me as I try to finish my WIP. It was originally done when they kiss and are finally dating. But I like reading ones where the story continues. So I thought I'd try my hand at writing one.

When the aloof mc is walking across the street absentmindedly and almost gets hit by a car but last minute, the love interest pulls them back

Just remembered that I also love it when 2 characters are secretly dating. Granted, it adds drama and spice but also, a lot of relationships in stories (like rom coms) the relationship isn't just A and B. It's a joint collaboration between A, B, and ALL of A and B's close friends/family

* The characters are in their 30s or older.
* Side plot romance.
* Equally attractive couple.
* Equally unattractive but fun and sweet lovebirds.
* One true love/Soulmate.
* Separated by fate and looking for each other ( bonus points if one of them has memory loss just to tease the readers. )

I also like love at first sight if it's done nicely.

• Shyly holding hands for the first time, like in the movies or something
• feeding each other

Ok, here are mine.

• Two very smart, fast talking witty people who always talk circles around others being even matches for each other conversationally.

• Cute older married couples who both adore each other.

• The comedic beta couple (This is mostly a musical theater trope, but it can appear in other places)

• Someone with a weird sense of humor finding someone who gets it.
