HELP ! I need advice on haters comments

Hey, anyone who leaves you nasty comments is either trolling or just doesn't have a life. I'm glad to hear you've been receiving kinder comments now. I've never experienced hate comments on my novel but I've experienced creepy hatred directed towards me as an attempt to get my attention when I cut off a relationship. Remember you can always block and you don't owe an explanation!

I used to waste my time on haters but that´s one thing that gets better with age and experience,
there will always be people who hate you or the things you do for reasons you don´t understand
or for no reason. You will get used to it.
I´m on 20 music albums and there are people out there who hate my music, hate me as a person,
would do physical harm to me or did do physical harm to me, you can´t even imagine the amount of hate
you get for making music. I´m not talking about bad press reviews or somebody saying they don´t like the
music, real hate

I stopped that after some years. When one of my bands uploads a video I don´t read the comments.
I have a facebook account but I don´t check the band pages. It also really doesn´t interest me now.
I used to check it because I thought the positive comments would make me feel better

Is there any way to block them? If it's only hate you get on this site and you can't block those people, you can try and stop uploading there. Unfortunately, one can get hate comments anywhere, so it's really not something you should quit because of. If you want to make a story, just do it. You can try to draw it for some time before uploading it anywhere, just for yourself. It will show you that you can draw a comic and enjoy it without relying on people's opinions.

Start drawing for yourself then. There will always be people who dislike what you are doing. But if it's your dream, you should be doing it for yourself.
If you think you can do better, push yourself harder. Sometimes you need to do it in order to become better and to show yourself that you can and nothing will stop you.

the internet can be a really toxic place, so if youre very sensitive or still very young, it might not be the worst idea to take a step back from it for now, and just enjoy creating and practicing art without the intention and pressure to post it.

especially if how people react to your work on it, will make or break your will to create.

just have fun growing your art for now, watch some tutorials, allow yourself to make mistakes and make your art for yourself and for practice, and not with the intention of posting.

there is no hurry to start an art account or a webcomic. You have time for all that later when your skin is a bit thicker and you won't care about negative comments as much anymore

eh, people aren't that invested in stories that are still at the start.

and going away or taking the work down for mental health reasons will never be an issue.

you come first, and if you can't handle the pressure of posting on the internet, no one can force you to stay.

You don't even need to justify yourself on the platform. you can just leave and come back when youre ready.
