I'm a dish soaker. I put them into the sink largest to biggest with dots of soap and warm water and let them soak in warm water for 15min. Then I go and clean everything that could fit into the sink, then soak the next batch. When I went to college I took very few dishes: 1 big plate, 2 small plates, 2 bowls, 5 spoons, 3 cups (1 to cold the silverware), 3 forks, and 2 knives (and a pizza cutter and cheese grater). So that when I wanted to eat I had to clean the dishes, and there weren't very many, so it was easy! Oh I also took a pot for pasta. I bought a teapot while there, which I've since gotten rid of.
That's really clever about the floor mop using on the walls! I might do that to clean the bathtub. We can't use heavy chemicals since we're in a zone on wetlands/a bay that doesn't allow it since it'll seep into the wildlife.... But if it doesn't go down the drain, then I can use it. If it doesn't choke me first. Some cleaners just smell too strong when you're in a small space like the bathroom.
I looooove vacuuming! I got a cordless tiny one so I just need to dump it every few times I do clean. The worse part is when I don't sweep first and the bristle gets full of my hair - but that just requires me cleaning that outside with scissors. Not a pain, and I try to be ontop of it. When I let it go for forever though it's a real pain and I need tweezers too. And gloves.
