How do I make this character better?

He belives he must be good and do the right thing, he does that out of gulty for running away instead of helping people in time of crisis in the past, but I'm worried that's boring or anoying like everytime the characters are doing something questionable or imoral he objects and I don't want the reader to get annoyed at him, how do I aproach this? he has to be the moral one as the foil to the protagonist that is quite imoral but I want him to be likable.

Conflict is good, even between friends. It builds an interesting dynamic.
Like Captain America and Iron Man.
I think more annoying would be a cast that never argue.

Here is what I would do, instead of a young dude I would turn the character into a granny,
she is kind of wise and has high morals because she made mistakes in the past.
She has magic powers to help the team. There is one problem / her flaw, she is forgetful
and sometimes this leads to conflicts but also to funny situations.

This is just an example, I would try around with more interesting character types.
The granny would make the comic more versatile though because there are not
enough old characters in comics

I can't change the character too much as he is based of a real person , but with a few things I added like the real person isn't trully so fixed on morals, but it makes sense for the story, one thing I wanna add from this friend is the African religion side he is from Umbanda, and the friendly and playfull child like side not immature but funny and goofy and a bit naive at times side, he is quite a unique person, very nice, but I don't know how to represent this uniqueness, he is also quite nerdy likes superheroes and gets excited about very particular things and confused about some things and dosen't get sexual innuendos despite being an adult I like him he's nice friend.

You haven't said anything about his good features though. He is probably smart, maybe he is confident in times when it's needed. He may be sarcastic when the questionable situation turns out to be actually dangerous for the characters. He can even joke at how he knows he is annoying. A character doesn't need to be a complete goody two shoes, he probably has other features people will like.

he's nice and good but silly and goofy and foolish some times, playfull and friendly, he suports everyone is a good friends, and is sensitive to others emotions he's also a skillfull mage, when needed he is very usefull

The whole idea of him trying to make good because he ran away from it in the past is interesting by itself, you can use it well to develop his character, ang giving him some soul-searching arc ^^ I mean, he is in the company of some bounty hunters isn't he? He isn't there for nothing, I think it's nice to have a character with a strong moral compass, he can be inspiring too.

He works in transport service with a higly imoral and criminal alcoholic captain they are oposits but they have a bond where they care for each other and despite all they wanna be toghether in the teame There's also a hot headed super strong fighter girl she is morally neutral.

The reason he joined the transport service was so he could travel around and help people across multiple planets between jobs.

Balancing a morally upright character without making them a buzzkill can be tricky. Maybe sprinkle in some moments where his moral compass is challenged, or he struggles with his own past decisions. That way, he's not just a one-dimensional goody two-shoes.
