In one episode of my comic I’ll have a still unknown character. This one will remain out of sight only showing their arm in some frames. But how do I make it clear that it is this out of view character that is speaking?
Normally you make sure the text bubble is pointing to the speaking character, but that’s not possible now.

And for anyone interested, here’s my comic!

There shouldn't be a problem having the text bubble pointing to the hand of the speaker and/or towards the speaker outside of the frame?

You could also show a bit of their black silhouette in the frame and point the text bubble to that silhouette.

point in the direction they should be, I also use a characteristic feature to determine who's talking out of frame

that´s simple, everyone knows that someone outside of the panel is
speaking and not Mr.Pumpernickel himself
