As my comic is fantasy and so requires that I have to build the rules of my universe instead of relying on existing ones, I'm kinda following the Kishotenketsu, the japanese four-part storytelling structure. The difference of it to the western three part structure is that, aside from the introduction, climax and resolution, it adds a second part: development or broadening of your initial introduction which is very useful for fantasy and horror stories. So while I'm explaining further the contents of my universe, I also add some bits and pieces of things that will lead to a twist later on. But I don't know if I'm really successful since adding the second part slows the pace of my comic and readers may find it too much if they were used to the western three part structure.
