@MeltingCORE Yeah these forums are probably my favorite place as well! (hehe thanks!
)
@domisotto Sometimes I feel it's so random what gets views/likes, a crappy sketch does "better" than something you worked hard on... it's weird. I don't like instagram that much either, I don't know why... the update with the shopping button didn't exactly improve it either.
@Darth_Biomech You're not alone!! But instead of looking at numbers I feel better when I focus on connecting with other artists, it's more fun!
@Shanny8 I got the feeling that tumblr kinda died after the ban on nsfw artwork, but I was never active there so I'm not sure. It never hurts to try I guess?
@AmazementComics I think it's good to have some self confidence in yourself and your art, as long as you don't put other artists down. But maybe a balance is good, not be too anxious, but not have too high expectation either.
@Caro Interesting to hear your story! I really like the mindset of sharing with friends. I've been lurking and following people without sharing any of my own content for so long, it feels nice to be able to do both!
@a.g.meade Everyone loves chibis!!
I agree it's better to do your stuff and not get caught up in following the algorithm. Nothing wrong with being inspired by popular artists, but it would be so boring if everyone did the same thing just to get followers and likes.
@erma I totally get that. And I'm also annoyed by the "rules" some people make up about what you can do with your art. I feel bad for younger artists who maybe are just starting out and think that they have to follow arbitrary stuff that other people make up... I hope you gain back the confidence little by little, and start posting more about your comic/characters. I love seeing that stuff, there can never be too much
