Most of my characters are old af and some of them still have Japanese names Not without reasons.
People can name their characters as they want, for all I care, but there definitely should be some explanation for that. For having Korean name and/or surname character can be Korean, half Korean, their parents can be fans of Korean culture or maybe something else can be put in this scheme. If I see a character who is from European country and looks 100% not Korean, there better be good explanation of their name
My main problem with Korean names is that I'm not sure how to read romanization, because I have zero experience with the language. I definitely don't trust Russian translators, because most of them suck as hell. And English one makes me nervous, because I heard in videos how Korean people say it, and it doesn't seems the same at all.
On this wave I suck at remembering Korean first names and 'They say I was born a king's daughter' was such a stress to read!
Why are they basically have the same first name?? What does it mean, is it common in Korea to give children some inner family name which shows their relation to each other? This is very confusing to me, really, if someone could explain, it would be great. But I would still have problems in remembering them...
