How Do You Pitch Your Comic To Tapas?

I'm sure someone out there have asked this question once. But, I can't seem to find the thread for it. So, feel free to leave the links guys. Also am sorry if the questions are so direct. Alright on to the questions.

How do you pitch your comic to Tapas?

Are they even open for new stories? 'Cause last I check, they used to have this Help Page (I think that's what you call 'em or FAQ) where they listed out the requirements for what you need to have before pitching.

Does anyone have experience, on pitching their comic to Tapas or to anywhere? I would love to hear your story and advice.

I can't seem to come up with other questions right now, but I guess I'll ask as I go

Huh, they used to have a page and I can see the link to it, but it must be down for maintenance because I can't seem to click through to it either. One of the requirements is having at least 2k subs (or some number like that, it may be more or less) so that caps out a lot of people. I haven't done it myself.

Well, I just hope that it's only down for maintenance, and not Tapas indirectly saying "We're not accepting stories anymore".

2k subs huh? It's a bit hard to reach that many subs, on the novel side. But I don't know anything about the comic side.

Yeah but I think they have the 2k demand for a reason, because otherwise everyone on the site would pitch to them constantly and they would have no way of knowing if you're able to create enjoyable content that can be read by a bigger audience. Especially because tapas is a corporation and they want to make money, so even if you make a super cool comic but it's niche and kinda underground, a company with a capitalist agenda isn't gonna invest in it because its too hard to know if they'll make a profit.
But if you feel very confident, you can always shoot them an email I suppose and make your case?

True enough. Since they also want to know the risks of paying for your stories and what not. Every seller wants their products to sell well and earn profit. Also Tapas audience seems to lean more on LGBT stories and romance, so something that is full blown action is pretty rare to see here. But there's always Beggining at The End LOL

Yeah and if you have comic or novel idea and have the means to make it happen I'd also maybe look into smaller publishers or niche publishers, who specialised in indie comics or novels

I do kind of have a small publisher in mind, and I've looked into them. But I still have to finish my pitching sheets and I don't even know if it's even the right way to write 'em. Either way, if everything doesn't work, I can try and go solo and just ride the waves, where ever it will take me.
