Yeah breaking it up makes sense as all those steps you listed is pretty overwhelming to smash into a singular first chapter.

Yeah, thanks. I think that's what I'm gonna do. Open with the group finding the hero, then fast forward a bit to her "Happy Day we found you on the beach" party where the inciting incident is, then go with what I have for Chapter 2 as Chapter 1 then if that sounds good.
