That I think it's the best thing! Because If one day you publish a comic book or something people on social media know who you are as well!
To publish a comic book by "mg_art17" doesn't sound professional, though.. I will explain!
Tbh I didn't redact well that I was imagining both a handle in social media and publishing a comic book at the same time. And felt me being kinda like publishing a serious book or something by "mg_art17" having the numbers and like a social media handle didn't fit. Sorry for making you all misunderstand that!
Lol it's all good! I was only teasing anyway
One thing you can consider doing is capitalizing and putting a period between your initials - M.G.
I think it looks professional and you can add other words to it more easily and it'll still make your name look clear and easy to remember.
For example: M.G. the Artist, or M.G. Comics
Those are just some suggestions, take from it what you will! I hope it helps
Thank you so much! Think it's brilliant the idea that you don't give off who you are by your name so people don't put weird expectations in you.
Like many guys don't like stories written by girls because they may think it will be cute or about love... And girls when they also put weird expectations on stories written by guys all about only action or things they don't like...

Yep, that sucks! When you want to use a name that's taken... but it's yours!!
Really thank you for your feedback!!

Yep, sweedish names are usually hard, right?
Idk, seems complicated names can be made a sort of acronym
Thank you for the idea! specially "about me" page, it's quite useful

Oh! Because of the "ero" part? And the 69 I guess lol!
I can imagine! Though I like your username mmm
I guess If you have a super big following you have more problems
I don't know! That's why I was struggling as well and asked in this post XD Also feel like even names from famours people like "CutiePieMarzia" everyone know she's Marzia, or things like that. I think even her book bears her name as "...known as CutiePie" and stuff like that
Ahahaha (sorry I couldn't resist XD). It was my first thought seeing your nickname too. It was one of the time I was afraid "Is this series safe to read while sitting on the train?" "Nothing extreme 18++ will pop out without warning when I scroll down, right..?" O_o;
Later I thought that maybe you just have a good sense of humour or it was a name taken after some punishment game.
For the nickname thing, yeah, as long as one person can find the artist's work with google it will be fine. I had a lot of trouble searching for some artist I like because their name was so short, too common, or coincided with a famous song/film/food dish.
I struggle with "AwesomeFeelsMan" 'coz my first thoughts were AwesomeMan, which was already used a lot. And then I have to worry about how people would address me, I came up with Feels but the problem is I've separated myself from the character that uses that name and made my own unique avatar to represent me.
Stick with a name that best represents you and the number should be a special number. People could address you with your username but if you want you can just tell them to call you by your real nickname. (Or another short nickname)
Own it, a name is only a name until you show who is owning that name. People might know two guys named Rick but they'll always have different feelings for the both of them. In my opinion, having a unique name is not at all necessary but giving that username a personality (you) that would give an impression on people is undoubtedly something to consider.
Having a username like "OverEdgeLord" might make people think you're like an edgy person (I like that name, I might use it for a villain ) but that's where that old saying "Don't judge a book by it's cover" comes to mind. Let everyone read your stories, let their opinions be opinions, what matters is you love that name and it means a lot to you. That's more important.
I know what you mean XDDD
tbh, I've been going with "Cleo-San" for almost 17 years now XD Cleo is not my real name, but everywhere on conventions where I go or when I meet fellow artists, I'm always "Cleo" =) I don't think this will ever change XD
True, the -san part comes from my Japanese fangurrl phase from 2001, but it's a lot better than the "Cleomon" from before, which totally didn't tell ppl that I liked Digimon XD
Of Course, Cleo-San is not THAT unique - in fact I had to think of an alternative when signing up to facebook and twitter - so I made it CleoSansArt there =)
So just stick to the nickname you are comfortable with. =) I did it and it worked for me so far
