How do you use tags?

I'm a bit confuse about the tags section for novels and would love to see how other writers are using this section. Thank you!

I'm not sure either but I have a few on my novel that I think are relevant like found family and trauma.

I check to see what tags fit my work and what tags are popular. I'd love to give the most accurate tags, but also I need to have a ton of reach, so I only go with what's most accurate and has the most reach. IDK how its used with individual chapters though

I am using the name of my comic, my own name and the names of my OC's as tags.
