How has your character(s) changed between when you created them and when you started publishing your story?

Combination of my skills improving/returning, but there was also a drastic tonal shift. I didn't like what I was making and did a soft reset between chapters 5 and 6. Less generic fantasy, more modern-ish slice of life.

Most of my characters have been pretty consistent, but the biggest change was to Fuyumi here.

Her arc has always been to grow from the shy, level-headed member of the cast into a warrior in her own right,
but introducing her sister into the story had some unexpected results on her during writing.
She's always been insecure, but giving her an older sister meant that she now had someone to look up to and even feel jealous and self-conscious of; constantly comparing herself to her much more capable sibling.
And since her sister was also the take-charge member of the two, it meant that Fuyumi ended up having a lot less urgency.
It gave me a lot more to work with character-wise just by giving a family member to interact with.

there's been different concepts and designs of my main Henry. let me go crhonologically (at first he was a rabbit).
unfortunately I lost some of this versions when I changed PCs, but here's some I could find.

as for Larry, there was a LOT of trial and error, but here's the few designs that leaded me to what we have now.

They really did go through a lot of versions! But it so cool to see them all side by side like this! ^_^

I think I spent like a year and a half daydreaming about making a comic about my them, and putting the dots together. I actually redid my first chapter a couple times until I learnt about art boards.
so yeah, a lot of changes in that period of time.

Taurus first apperence in chapter 3 and the latest in chapter 6. The first concept art is a huge difference to the first apperence. Thats the case for most of my characters.

Haha it does! I’ve never really seen dragons ball z, although now that I think about it I bet August would have watched it. Maybe that’s why he refuses to get his hair cut/styled, he wants to look like a Dragon Ball Z character! XD
