Some comics post all over Twitter and Tumblr to notify people that there had been an update.
But how efficient is that, really? Most of comic I subscribed to I check through RSS.
It might be a way to stay on board of people who don't follow your comic but who might be, but again how efficient is that?
Tumblr has wonky schedule system that won't allow you to easily schedule notification posts for a month in advance for example (you can copypaste the text, but not image or tags, for example), and Twitter just flat out unable to schedule things, forcing me to lurk around and waiting to post tweet about an update in time. The only way to sidestep this, out of my googling experience, is the creepy shady sites and apps who'll say "give us your twitter account name and password. We'll keep it secure. We promise, he-he-he"
I guess I just want to know if there's a real point of doing these chores. X)
