How long does a reader keep interest?

I thought this better fit in art/writing. If I take a long time to draw a trag-a-day comic, how many weeks should I go before updating?

I'm thinking maybe the fastest I can do a trag-a-day would be 40 days (an upload a day), and the slowest around 40 weeks. (Depends on how detailed.)

I've found that once people subscribe, most of them won't unsubscribe because you haven't updated in a while. Since tapastic notifies your readers when there's new content, you don't have to worry as much about them remembering to check for updates on their own. I don't think anyone would consider once a week updates to be particularly "slow"ether. Just work at a speed you're comfortable with, and try to update on a consistent schedule once you start.

People mostly unsubscribe when I update, rather than when I don't.

This post should also help you. I received a lot of great answers from many different points of view, but the general consensus was to stay consistent with your publishing schedule. For example, going on random hiatuses isn't good.
