How many novel writers have narrated their stories in the present tense?

Other stories use what I call the "laundry list", which is their paragraphs basically are: "I ate a banana and then I took a shower. After a shower, I did..." this is more with the experience of an author than anything.

Well, if it is in Present Tense it should be: I eat a banana and then I take a shower.

You're right or it could be "I'm eating a banana before I take a shower." But also like I said, it just depends on the writer's skill level. Some people are rock stars at writing 1st Person Present Tense, while I am not.

Mine applies, I suppose. I simply like the type of writing style I have and I really don't care if people do present, past or whatever. If I like it, I simply like it.
