How many of you listen to music/watch videos while making comics?

I stream let's plays on youtube or twitch. It's good background noise without being distracting I can't do music because I get too distracted

I use any music that helps me get in that creative mood depends on what i am writing. Like if i were to write a horror scene i would listen to music that would help me in that horror movie like vibe like this one.

I listen to podcasts or watch 10+ minute long YT videos while drawing them. When I'm planning out what goes in different panels and how many panels I should use, I think in silence.

Silence is just inviting any and every kind of mental distraction for me so I tend to go with music, specifically playlists associated with the comic I'm working on or some form of ambient noise to help my build an "atmosphere" for the scene I'm writing so it's common for me to turn to some form of asmr/ambient noise youtube channel (think forest sounds, rain noise, library/cafe ambience and so on) or I'm on MyNoise when I wanna get real specific sounds I can't easily search up

If not any of those then it's some kind of game soundtrack, let's play or podcast I can let play as background noise so I'm not taking the umpteenth midday nap and staying up at 2am to work (though it's guaranteed to happen anyways )

For me I listen to either instrumentals or podcasts while working on my webtoon. I tried to watch videos before but it really split my focus on where my eyes were looking. Don't get how some people manage to do it :')

XD i'm writing two things. One the next chapter of my series and a scene that's suppose to happen WAY later but the scene itself is like something straight of Silent Hill or Bloodborne.

I like to watch "I shouldn't be alive" out of the corner of my eye while working on comics. Nothing like ignoring bone breaker screams to concentrate the mind. I don't want to psychoanalyze this feature of my mind too closely. It just works.

I don't make comics, but I do listen to a lot of music when I'm writing. I used to listen to like, radio, pop and stuff, but I've noticed that I get really distracted if I can sing along or hum along to the lyrics, so I mainly listen to like, Lofi or other language stuff.

Haha I generally can't stay focused that well unless I have something playing in the background. Usually music, a movie, tv show, anime, or an audio book. It has to be something interesting but not so interesting it distracts me from working

For my novel, I absolutely can NOT have any distracting backround sounds. I've always been like that back in school and college. I hated it when my roommates blasted the TV or music while I was trying to focus on a 20 page research paper.

When I write a chapter, I do it on my days off from work when no one is home. I can get a chapter done much quicker.

I often listen to either Last week Tonight, some documentary on YouTube, or a playlist I've made for when I'm drawing digitally that keeps me energized. or occasionally I'll listen to a playlist with songs that relate to my comic for inspiration

I always have youtube on when drawing or working on my comic. the genre of the videos really doesn’t matter to me, they’re usually from creators I’m subscribed to, topics I’m interested in and just anything over 15 minutes long

I usually listen to music with lyrics, instrumental music, Japanese music, videogames ost, movies ost, and sometimes I listen to youtube videos that I already see before, like reactions, review, and other random stuff.

in the writing/storyboard phase I also work in silence, but in sketch/lining/coloring phase I look netflix/amazon series/sitcoms. Mostly ones that I already know, so I mustn’t pay too much attention.
