How much time do you usually spend on a single comic page?

I'm on the 8+ hour boat myself. I find sketching and inking takes me the longest.

I'm starting a working plan where I power through for half an hour, stop and get up and away from my desk for a few minutes (stretch, drink water, etc), and then repeat. It's efficient and it gives my eyes and body a break from the stress of desk work.

It'll depend if I add a splash of color or not but usually in the range of four to six hours or so.

I take... about 12-14 hours a page. ;u; And this is usually spread across 3-4 days; I'll do layouts and sketch one day, then inks another day, then tone+final cleanup. The longest I spent on a single page was around 20 hours because it was almost all crowd shots and a lot of architecture in the environment.
I'm a very slow inker, and I have backgrounds in almost every panel, so that slows things down quite a bit. Which is why, as much as I'd love to update more than once a week, it's basically impossible unless I was being paid.

Really varies for me depending on how many panels, characters, backgrounds, etc. There are, but usually between 6-8 hrs

Takes me about 5-6 hours to pencil, depending on the detail(since I ink my own pencils, I skimp on some detail just getting the initial form and panel shot I'm going for). Inks take about 8 hours; I do a lot of detailing when I ink. Colors usually take about 8 hrs or longer depending on the details that I have to do with the page. Lettering takes the least amount of time- about 2 to 5 hours depending on how much dialogue.

It takes about 1-2 hours to sketch a single page, while the digital coloring and vectoring usually take 8-10 hours, with some closer to 12 hours, but one of my most recent pages took 15 hours with it. I'm always working on multiple pages at once, so the total time spent working on any page is scattered over the course of several days.

From 6 to 10 hours, depends on the difficulty level, and on the comic. Because some pages for different comics take me only 2-4 hours... IF I have a good day.

Oh wow, check this out, there's such a variety of paces here! I think that working at a break-neck speed for deadlines is a dangerous way of going about it -- maybe good to start but getting yourself comfortable AT YOUR OWN discretion is key.

Now, breaking it all down, my sketching phase is the shortest -- probably 20/30 minutes max. The inking is a bleeding joy and relish in it every moment. Probably an hour, 2 hours with complicated interiors/decorated spaces, crowd shots. The painting and values. That is what kills me. 2/3 hours just getting my flats in, it is torturous. Here's a break-down of one of my pages from sketch to final product:

I take around 2h to 4h, but mine's black and white, if it was coloured it would take me more than 5hrs..., I'm trying to be faster but mantaining the quality, if I spend too much on a page I get bored of it, and makes it more difficult to finish it.
Being able to draw faster was one of the reasons wihy I choose to draw with a cartoonish style instead of manga, else, I would take a life to make a page hahaha.

I don't really have a lot to draw (at least not yet). It takes about 30 min. or more on paper and an hour digitally. My style is very simple and black/white so it's quick compared to many others.

i don't count the sketching/penciling in this estimate bcuz the estimates vary WILDLY, but most of my pages take 3-4 hours. i do fairly intensive painted backgrounds, which kills me, but my comic doesn't have character shading and my flats are just filled in with a bucket tool so that only takes about five minutes.

i used to spend 8 - 12 hours per page, but i decided it wasn't sustainable, so i changed up the method. making good pages is so so worth it.. but if nothing ever gets made because it takes too long, the trade off isn't worth it. kudos to artists that stick with those rly labor intensive styles

In depends on the amount of work. A normal comic page can usually take me between three-four hours, but once with say a longer size or more stuff to put in can make it go to about six..

Usually the majority of the time is spent sketching things out, then inking them. The last parts usually scanning into the computer, cleaning the page up, coloring it, and adding panel boxes.

I recently recorded my whole process on a page so I have a more precise number. Sketch + Lines= 4-6 hours. What REALLY takes time is flattening + coloring. My wife usually takes from 10-12 hours. Oh, how this comic takes work...
