How often your characters change attire

Looking back on this thread and since the last time I posted here, my main character Roxy has literally changed outfits about 4 times so far xD! As I said before, there's literally no reason for why she should wear the same outfit throughout the entire comic since she's in the comfort of her home village! I tend to change her out if there's been time lapse or once it's night time so far. :3

I like the environment to act upon my characters, so even little things like changing clothes is a necessity. They have obvious styles and colours they like, so there's similarites in function and appearance between their wardrobe choices. Some characters who are more fashion conscious however will have a wider array of items to wear, which makes them more fun to draw.

In my series, Oops Comic Adventure, I try to use attire change as a way to show character growth. Like both visually and mentally, Oops isn't the same kid from issue 1 that he is in issue 6

(he lost his hat here. It was a big change that the readers definitely took note of lol RIP hat)

I got this idea watching Avatar Last Airbender and how with each season Aang and the gang changed and it also felt like they grew up from season 1 to season 3. Season 3 having the most noticeable change with Aang growing hair and everyone dressed in red fire nation clothes and lots of growing up and preparing for the final show down.

I try to incorporate those things into Oops, as well, because it felt like such a subtle yet noticeable detail in Avatar.

I decided at the start that my characters in Ace Adventures would always wear the same colors, but that their outfits and hairstyles might change. I'm jumping around in time, so I wanted them (especially my main character) to be recognizable at any age, and I figured color-coding would help.

mine dont really change clothes. i kinda like the idea of them havin a certain look. BUT i tweak their clothes sometimes! in future pages tho. not the ones i have up yet. but they wear coats sometimes or take on/off certain things. also they might wear different clothes on special days like a holiday
i DO have certain colors for my characters too. mostly the main 2. but a little bit on the others too. i like thinkin a lot about color and makin the colors i use in my comic mean certain things. so i use that a lot in what they wear and stuff
