Thought it'd be useful to share the resources (not necessarily just books!) that helped us most in our comic making.
Making Comics - Scott McCloud
A must have, seriously! Explains pretty much everything you need to know about comic theory IN THE FORM OF A COMIC, which is a great demonstrative tool and very entertaining! Every comic artist I've asked has reccomended this book, and I gotta agree! (See also Understanding Comics if you want to know more about the ins and outs of comics as an art form)
Invisible Ink: A Practical Guide to Building Stories That Resonate - Brian McDonald
A simple, easy to understand guide to story structure and why it's important, using awesome examples from movies like Toy Story and Jaws. If you can't be bothered to read it, get the audiobook from Audible.com (your first audio book there is free, that's how I got it haha). You will feel smart after reading this book.
