Haha I'm pretty much the opposite; I like sticking to one person's POV because if I get both, it feels more like I'm an omniscient voyeur peeking in on their relationship than an intimate participant XD (Which is weird because I'm aro, but idk it still feels weirder to me to read a romance from that high of a perspective for some reason :P)
As for whose POV I'd prefer to get, for me it's less dependent on gender but more on ... uh, whose perspective it would be most interesting to observe? Which I guess is kind of tautological, so I'll give some examples:
- If A changes as a person more than B throughout the course of the story, I'd prefer A's POV
- If A is kind of a mysterious character and half the fun is figuring out how they tick, making A the POV character is basically spoilers (though I guess this can be done right sometimes via making them an Unreliable Narrator)
- If one partner is particularly troubled, I often find it draining to inhabit their POV and ... sometimes find them 'whiny', if I'm being completely honest*
On the other hand I tend to find them more sympathetic when I'm observing them through their partner's POV
- If one partner is particularly weird but their weird thought processes doesn't become shared knowledge at any point during the story**, I'd prefer to inhabit their POV because otherwise I'd never know what they were actually thinking
*
This is just an uncontrollable emotional reaction towards fictional characters; if you're troubled and have a lot of depressing internal monologue I don't think you're whiny at all and I'm not judging you! I felt the need to put this reassurance here because I myself have some angsty internal monologue and if someone else posted my comment I can totally see myself reading it and thinking oh no I'm WHINY and therefore a TERRIBLE PERSON - so the last thing I want to do is make someone else feel that way
**
Though I guess this would be unusual in a romance, where the two main characters are supposed to connect with each other and understand each other to some degree
