Hello! I decided to make a discord account since its been circling around and I hear you can meet with other artists/creators  I’m still not sure how it works but so far I’ve been able to join two groups whose invite links where just lying around.

I want to be able to join more art/comic creator groups so I made this topic to ask for invites and suggestions  thank you!

heres my comic server, im not realy in any servers where im just allowed to throw up the link so... best i can do XD

it is initially for my comic but its more a hangout, pretty much everyone in there is an artist/creator

What I like to do is to join servers run by creators I like - they tend to advertise them in their updates/descriptions or social media accounts (at least I do because it's my favorite way to communicate with my readers and creator friends). It's a great way to make genuine connections because there's already common ground with everyone involved - love for their work!

YMMV but with general creator support servers, they're often frequented by tons of people who want to promote their work and just drop links, and not as much by people who actually want to check out said work. If meaningful networking is your goal, you'll probably want to take a quality over quantity approach. I've seen a lot of people slowly but surely gaining more of a following and making artist friends by actively being involved in communities rather than just spamming - not even necessarily comic-based communities, but for instance fandom or YouTuber/streamer servers where they contributed fanart. In those cases checking their social media or googling "[fandom] Discord server" and the likes usually does the trick.

Well... one fo the servers I like is this one. We just be silly there when we feel like it. It's a bit quiet since the school year started, but we welcome new folks!
