Interesting scenario you've added in your book's details. It's rare to find a novel that's actually about made-your-own mythology. I'll add it to my reading list.

As for me, I'm making use of well-known mythology in my own novel, adding a bit of a modern twist to it. Here it is if you're interested.

Level Up Hero: In a nutshell, modern-day Greek hero mixes it up with eldritch-horror type monsters and megalomaniacal supervillains while the world's biggest hero trainer teaches him how to be a better hero.

Well, some of the characters I'm using are from mythology that already exists(an obscure one, but still) but I added a lot of things to it, so much so that the original things are almost unrecognizable.
