I think it doesn't matter, really. What matters is the cycle of abuse, the way they acknowledge each other in such an honest way. I never read it in English, really, but I love the part where Bats argue that the weakness is not within everyone, but within the Joker. Maybe only the Joker is weak. Only himself broke after the bad day. People are good and can move on and the Joker becomes petty and pathetic That's so great, to me. So true to Batman. Moore is a gift to us all.
(That said, yeah, I think it's cool if he's choking Joker! haha Although it's not in the script)
(Oh, and it was Morrison that spread the theory!! haha)
I'm assuming you're a DC fella, so Morrison has a really impressive run on Batman (starting with Batman & Son, where he created Damian, and ending on New 52 Batman Incorporated). Seven Soldiers of Victory is amaaaaazing and it's more divisive, but I love me some Final Crisis, my favorite DC event ever.
If you're into some indie stuff, The Invisibles!! You're 15 and I feel SO DAMN OLD, I read The Invisibles when I was 14 and it blew my freaking head!!
