Customarily folks like to set goals for certain milestones to reach for ink donations, and usually do a fun little reward like a Q&A or something of the like once they reach it, so yes, you've got the right idea. :^) If you have discord, the official Tapas community give outlines on how the event works and give prompts/resources to help with celebrating the event. Through the Discord server, for the event, you can also apply to unlock the ability to receive ink donations earlier than normal. They even have ink giveaways, which is super cool!
