Inksgiving rewards?

I've seen people mentioning offering rewards for certain levels of ink giving during the Inksgiving event, and wasn't sure if that was something that was expected? Because I don't want to disappoint anyone who actually donates if it's something that's expected of me! And if that's the case, and it's something I need to do, then...I'm utterly clueless. What in the world could I possibly offer them? I just...have no idea. I've seen some mention of taking drawing requests, and I guess I could do that, but I feel like my readers are there for the story, not because I'm fabulous at art or anything, and wouldn't necessarily want to make a drawing request of me lol Anyways, I would LOVE suggestions, if anyone feels up to giving them! Thank you all for always being so patient with my cluelessness!

It's an incentive, from my understanding.

As an incentive you put up tiers as goals for your readers to reach and then give them rewards of each tier as they pass the threshold. This encourages people to earn FREE INK and to BUY INK to get more of the thing they want, so it helps promote the event. But it's all an incentive.

If you do not want to make a reward, or only want 1 reward, then that's it. You aren't "required" to participate in the event even if it's site-wide. I'd suggest just jotting down ideas for your characters as an art piece as a reward like: "if I hit 1000 ink then you'll get to see this artwork for my characters messing with a chocolate fountain".

I don't offer anything until someone's individually given a total of 20k ink which will get them a draw request.
I think most readers don't really expect anything for their donations, they just want to support a creator they like.

But it doesn't hurt to offer extra content as incentives for more ink: FAQ's, little extra stories, behind the scenes peeks, an extra update, an illustration …

You shall only do what you have time to do.
If you promise something you first can give a half years after, I will say it is too late. It is happening for many.
You get some ink, just be active on the forum and it will come.
I know lots of ideas will come her at the beginning of November so look at them and make your own mix of all that.

Yeah, I just don't feel like I have time to create any kind of award, even though I'd be super grateful for anyone to donate, you know? But maybe I'll think of something fun to do as we get closer to the event, and feel motivated to set aside time to work specifically on it! Hey, that's a great idea!!!
