Is it okay to delete a chapter weeks after publication?

One of the upcoming chapters in my story could possibly make one of the chapters in my story completely obsolete. It’s a very boring chapter that’s mostly exposition and possibly-unnecessary foreshadowing, but it came out weeks ago. Is it still okay to just delete the chapter once I’m sure it will no longer be necessary?

To be clear, I don’t necessarily need feedback on the actual chapter. If this wasn’t a serialized series it would be swiftly banished to the Shadow Realm, but since it is serialized, I’m wondering if that that’s impolite or could hurt me in the long run. I was gonna just drop a notice on my profile once the deed is done.

If you can delete it and it causes no problem in continuity, comprehension of the plot, character arc or pacing... Then it was dead on arrival and probably should have been reworked prior to publishing it. If that's the case better now then never so yeah, just delete it and rework the info that it does have back into the story through other chapters, readers will appreciate the lack of exposition dump and absence of a boring "school class" chapter and pick up what they need through what you've peppered back into the other chapters.
