Oh, all great answers! Totally makes sense and I completely agree with offering up the best of Tapastic to new viewers, instead of giving the wrong impressions with possibly less polished comics. However, that does tilt the scales in favor for the featured creators and puts more of a burden on lesser knowns creators for more self-promotion.
Self-promotion is definitely key on the creator's part and it something all of us need to put 200% effort towards as creators. It'd be cruel of us to expect Tapastic to fully advertise everyone's comic all the time (that wouldn't be right!).
The solution to that isn't a very easy one. That why brainstorming a solution for this on the forums has been difficult.
Hmm, you're probably right. I think even on the Stumble Upon website, they offer advance search options or check boxes to only show a certain category. Maybe implementing something like that?
The more I think of a Stumble Upon button on Tapastic, the more worried I get. I'd totally spend all day randomizing through one comic after another after another... Could be dangerous on my production schedule LOL
LOL I remember those days, so true.
That's a scary possibility too, if comic creators start falling into the void of content and their comics never gets seen.
I'm really glad to hear this is a problem you guys are aware of and are already trying to avoid. Thank you so much for your support and all the great tools and web designs you make just for us creators. Tapastic staff, readers, and creators rock!
