They probably won't get the references and will think the style is a bit weird, but 1920s fantasy fiction readers would probably be fine with my comic and its contents. I'd have to explain a bit more about Kitsunes than I do in the comic today.

I would like to think generally understand the broad strokes of the story, but they might get lost because so many elements rely on tones of pre-existing fantasy genre convention or other elements we now take for granted. Like why does Corrine have pink hairs, where in the world the story takes place? Magic?

Some minor elements might insult their sensibility like demons presently do not carry the same weight as it did at times, or all the swearing

My novel is set in 1923, so I'd imagine some references to Teddy Roosevelt, Nikola Tesla, and Hirohito would be recognized. They'd probably be confused about the technological level and the way my characters talk, but there is a lot of war themes and geopolitics, so they might get interested. Although things like aliens and vampires fighting in the war would remind them its fiction.

Hmm... Considering the fact that a lot of my characters are queer, I don't think they'd like it too much. Not sure how they would react/what they would say though

They would see some of the wild differences of the future and yet feel that touch of divine connections that surpasses all understand over any generation! You will always feel the pull of the universe and some form of divine spirit calling from within and outward!
