It's so small so it's a bit hard to have big community tips, but basically - use the tag blocking feature as much as you want if you're going to search for art and communities there rather than offsite, there's a lot of NSFW that you might not want to see. There are some feature posts for artists, I don't have the URL but it might be of interest to ask to be put on the lists once you have a few posts there.
