I learned through other users as per usual. For the old and the new threads. I didn't have much time to use the knowledge for coding on the old threads since right after I learned I had to relearn new code since the old one didn't work

Yea I'm not real crazy about Wattpad. Really, I never have been. But the whole switch to discourse thing really takes the cake. Been there, done that. Tapas been there first.

It's funny you said that because usually we get more comments if we had posted this on wattpad's forums

We're used to creating and finishing multiple threads (post limit being 10k posts) within one month

I find this thread very confusing haha.

My sister uses wattpad but I've never used it. For good reason since I don't write novels and can't read novels.

Well it has a lot of books but fanfics are the most circulated books. I mean someone got published for their one direction fanfic and her book is actually sitting on a shelf in my local bookstore (I never read it but I heard it's...eh)

Its more saturated with bad boy, billionaire, vampire or werewolf romance books alongside the fanfics.

If you go to the threads on wattpad everyone will know about the over saturation of these tropes

That's kind of what I mean, unless you're on the phone. Then it's a blast.

Now I met this amazing French lady, who writes excellent science fiction. That definitely helps some of the issues.

Oh it's well known on wattpad that the bad stuff floats to the top. It's just teenage girls choosing what's popular since it's the largest demographic of readers. I found many good wattpad books but it's frustrating due to the system set in place (constant recommendations of stories of the aforementioned tropes) these good novels can't rise to the top
