That actually was not directed at you at all. It was an additional comment to the idea of children's series being mislabelled as adult due to the personal opinions of some of the fans, when no, they are not, but it IS something to take into account when it comes to topics like this which is fan taking something very, and usually much too seriously for reasons that cartoon did not intend. But is also never a justifiable excuse to plot which is again, not at all applicable for any storytelling or of it's target audience, plot holes in plot driven children's media is just as bad as plot holes in plot driven adult media. The series being intended for adults does not make the plot holes and bad writing more serious, but if you WANT a conversation specifically on ADULT targeted media then it's probably best NOT to bring up children's media, and then act like it's NOT children's media. When it is in fact, still children's media.
Sorry that you seemed to think it was.
It's just something I run into a lot that actually happens in the fan groups of these specific shows (they also showed up in Avatar a LOT, even in pokemon fans like this show up, insisting that the show they like is not for kids because of the 'mature undertones'). For the series mentioned specifically there are a lot of older fans 'insisting that Voltron is not for children' despite being for kids, because of mature themes and undertones, like plot never happens or is talked about in children's media. It's for kids, it always was for kids, it being loved by adults does not make it not for kids like these specific people like to imply. Saying that it's not for kids is a disservice to kids and undervalues kids looking for mature stories and over values kids that want 'Teen Titans GO' and 'Thunder Cats Roar'
