*Pierce pulled herself free from Fuchsia’s hold by wriggling and squirming out of it. It was difficult but worth it considering the pain she was in. Sadly, the moment she was free Ouija snapped her back to her side. The woman still had a hold on her somehow, and it was clear she wasn’t willing to give her up so easily. But this time she wasn’t alone.
*Jing stood at the teen’s side, her eyes dark and distant as if she’d lived a hundred lifetimes in an instant. When her gaze found her brother, a small breath of relief escaped her lips, but she knew she couldn’t run to him. Not with Ouija breathing down her neck.
Sang: *Baring his teeth. Let them go.
Ouija: Fine. I’m tired of fighting, so let’s make a deal. You and Seok give me back my power, and I’ll set them both free in return. If you refuse like I know you probably will because you’re a stubborn piece of sh*t, then your sister will have to fight my best assassin to get free. Up to you.
Seok: And neither of them will be hurt if we give you back the powers, right?
Ouija: If that’s what you wish, then sure.
Seok: Fine. Take it. I didn’t want it anyway.
Ouija: If it’s a deal, we should shake on it. *Stretches out one hand, looking at Sang expectantly.
Sang: *Glancing from Ouija to his sister and back. ...no.
Seok: *Quietly. “Sang, what are you doing?”
Sang: Every deal I’ve made with this woman has blown up in my face in a way I didn’t expect. I’m not giving up what little defenses I have to make another deal with her. No way. *Turning to Ouija. Jing will fight whoever your strongest minion is, win, and you’ll let her and Pierce both go. I’m not giving you sh*t.
Ouija: *Smiling before it widened into an evil grin. Fine. If that’s what you really want.
Sang: It is.
Ouija: You’re willing to bet her life on that?
Sang: *Looking from her to Jing, who only gave him the faintest hint of a nod. ...my family doesn’t lose.
Seok: *Seeing the not so subtle shake of Pierce’s head, he snapped at Sang and made his ex flinch. “You’re making a mistake! Just give her what she wants!”
Sang: “Stop yelling at me! I know what I’m doing!”
Ouija: Very well. Since Sang’s made up his mind, Jing will fight my “strongest minion” for her and Pierce’s freedom. Loser dies, winner goes free. *Grinning so hard it pulled at the corners of her mouth. And since my strongest minion is already here, let the fight begin.
Ouija: Didn’t I tell you? Pierce is my strongest.
*Jing’s face fell as the realization struck her, turning towards Pierce with a pained expression. She couldn’t fight a child, let alone kill one. Seok shook his head in defeat, while Sang was hit with a sickening feeling.
Ouija: You were so convinced that every deal with me was a trap that you turned me down when I gave you a real out. Now you get to watch one of your friends die, and it’s all your fault, Sang. And now that you’ve agreed to it, they either fight or they both die. Isn’t that fun? *Noticing the bubble forming around her, she simply teleported to a different place. Was that your best defense?
