Oh wow, there's been a lot of responses to this.
Thank ya'll for sitting down to have a talk with lil ol' me, I appreciate it!
Now! On to the replies.
@Rowein I think what I like the most about you is that everything you said ended in a positive note. Even when it started leaning a little bit towards the negative side, you zip-zopped right back over to positive. And I respect that. Now, don't get me wrong. I don't expect everyone to be happy all the time but I like this thread because you can see the good in the bad and that you're not alone. SO, I'd like to commend you because doing what makes you happy is best. I wish you all the luck in the world in your drawing journey. Remember, you're great and you're just getting better every day. I'm glad that you are surrounding yourself with good people.
And you have a friend in me, don't forget that.
But most importantly, you're not just a speck of dust in the universe. There is only one you. You are the only you that will ever exist and experience things the way that you have and there's something unique about that. You're unique. Never forget that you're special because you're you and you're here.
And I appreciate you for that.
@KoreanTacos You're telling me. Negatvitiy is so hard and it really takes a damper on the old mood. So let's think about good things instead! Ahem, YOU HAVE A DAUGHTER! That is so amazing! I've always wanted to be a parent myself but I'm not in the place of financial stability to do that. But when I am, oooh boy. I'm going to love every minute of it even when the little raggamuffin drives me up the wall. Ahem, I kind of went off topic. Where was I? Oh right. Even if you're mean, at least you know that you are, and you can try to mitigate some of that mean energy when you're going too far.
People trust you for a reason. And who cares how you look on the outside? Personally, I don't. I literally call myself Bones. If I cared about the outside, I'd probably be called Skin. Wow, that was a bad joke. But you get my point, yeah?
You're a gem, and keep up with what you're doing. I hope you get the best out of everything in life.
@MariMontoya Well, howdy! I think I saw you earlier posting on my wall. Sorry that I haven't gotten around to flooding your notifications yet, been a little busy today.
But the show must go on. Ahem, you sound like a very diligent person with a good head on your shoulders. One of my favorite quotes is that you never fail until you give up. So, you're absolutely right. We decide when to give up and what you decide to do in your life is entirely up to you. Sure, bad things will happen and so will good things but it's up to you to decide how to roll with the punches. And that's a good life lesson.
Spinning on, I'm glad you like writing and I can't wait to see where your stories go. You're gonna be something great, I can feel it.
@Heliox14 Boo! This is what happens, you meet Bones. Haha, sorry I'm full of bad jokes.
School wifi is always great. It never goes out unless it's thundering and that is rarely. And I suppose, you could say that school is a way for you to fuel your writing. Taking your experiences and putting it into your stories. All of the good things, the bad things, it might help you find something you like. And hm.. you seem to be a very honest person and I respect that. Saying what's on your mind is important to making connections. So, here's what i think.
Someone will be happy to read it. Your story is important to someone out there, and it may be someone you haven't met yet. But I'd disagree when you say things don't last forever. They do in different ways. It may change, and you may not recognize it, but the impact you make will stay with you for all time and with the people you've met along the way.
My unsolicited advice: Don't think about lasting forever. Don't think about things fading away. Just hold it in your hands, close to your heart, and breathe life into it without wondering what it can be. Just appreciate it for what it is.
@holithefox There's a bandwagon!?
Huh, I didn't even notice. Well then! There's no requirement for a fanbase. Heck, you can have one with just one person. Take moi for example. I'm your fan and we just met. Anyway, in my experience, there is no such thing as a norm. Everyone has their own way of doing things and although your work may have similar elements to someone else's, in it's entirety, it's something new. There are cases of plagarisim and the likes but what I generally see nowadays is writers taking pride in what they do and trying to bridge connections between the audience and the writer. So, I really applaud you and I do enjoy your presence. I'm glad that you're here. Just keep up your grind, and you'll be just fine.
@silverraven0 What's up, dude? So, here's the thing. Take your time with looking. There's absolutely no rush and no time limit. And saying how you feel isn't lame. It's basic human emotion and one that we repress a lot because we're concerned how other people might think of us. You're free to talk about how you feel anytime when you're around me. Trust me, I'm not gonna judge you. Fans and such will come along, the struggle will be real, but you can do this. You have just as much of a shot at being great as anyone else out here, and I look forward to what you can do.
