With one hand gripping the handle of her single trolley bag, she looked out the floor-to-ceiling glass pane at the set of blinking lights illuminating the runway below. Her gaze followed a plane speed down the long runway and take off. Within seconds, it was lost in the sky, just another dot blanketing the dark canvas.

Sandra sighed. When she was a kid, she had dreamt of flying in a plane and going somewhere magical. She was only 16 when that dream came true.. Or so she thought. Now here she was, back at the same spot, watching her high-flying career come to a heart-wrenching stop.

Hey I find your art amazing, would it be possible for you to do novel covers instead? I find writing extremely hard during college, I think drawing a whole comic during college may be a lot of work as well on your part. Not trying to demean your work ethic or anything, if you can juggle school, and other things at the same time I salute you. Just don't burn yourself out.

Or maybe even doing pfp (Profile Pictures)...I think would be a good start too if time is really limited.

Yes you do gore, but the question remains, can you do horror? If you want to draw something spooky and monstrous characters (zombies, robots, Frankenstien monster, etc...) check out my novel or the accompanying series of short stories if you want to ease into it.

Well if you want to practice a bit of simple action and expressions here's an excerpt from my as yet unpublished novel, The Damsel. For background, Sara is the only girl in the world who doesn't have superpowers (called the Damsel). She is a pretty, natural blonde, in this scene wearing torn jeans and a fluffy, cropped sweater. The execs are just plain suit guys. If it's long, sorry, but the action is quite short.:

The Damsels of old flew in carriages all the time. I never wanted to be one of them, so I resented being in it, hence the growing scowl on my face. Most of it was directed at Gupta sat in the cab, behind an opaque screen. I knew he was there.
To be fair, the cushioned leather seats could have been worse and everything was draped or covered with exquisite mahogany fabrics, just like from those mafia movies where some poor schlub gets called into the boss’s carriage and… ZAP. I’d never seen a carriage in real life before, but that wasn’t really saying much. I had hardly been out, ever. Carriages were for the affluent. No one needed them. They certainly didn’t go any faster than a person flew - they were carried by servants after all - but some people liked flying without getting the wind in their hair, and those people had money to waste - and little common sense. I loved the wind in my hair.
I fumbled around the door for a handle to open the window, eventually finding it and sticking my head out. Wind buffeted me straight away and I had to angle my head so I could breathe in anything but rapid gulps. Yeah, they were crazy, feeling the wind whip around my head and blow my hair into and out of my vision like an angry tentacle monster, that felt alive.
“Come back inside,” one of the execs said.
I took a glance at the shiny toy town below me, winking in the sunlight and then returned, trying to sit dignified. My hair was a mess. I let it be, like it didn’t bother me, but oh, it did. So I had to endure their stares while I flattened and groomed it back into an acceptable wavy mess as quick as possible.
There, perfectly within acceptable boundaries of decency. Then I tried to pretend it had never happened. > There was only one TV guy in the carriage with me. Most of the time he sat quietly with a professional smile on his face, which told me that he was pretending to be kind and if I protested about our arrangement I’d not like the consequences. The executive said nothing further. He went back to staring blankly at the carriage walls.

I'd love it if you illustrated it, but no worries if it's not your thing. Your art is pretty cute so I think it suits this novel.

Hey, that is pretty interesting! Here is an excerpt from my novel that might be to your liking.

Scene: The protagonist, a girl with dark auburn hair, is being chased up the stairs to her room by two men intending to kill her.

Reality hit me like a slap. I whirled around and bolted upstairs, my voice finally finding its way out. I screamed for my father, desperately hoping that he had arrived by now. When he didn't respond, I dived inside my room and locked the door.

My eyes darted around the room for weapons. Loud bangs resounded from the other side of the door. Without a thought, I grabbed a lamp from my study table, braced myself, and stepped back, my hands beginning to tremble in fright. Immense guilt filled me. Was this it? All those years of studying like crap and worrying about the future amounted to this? Was I going to die by the hands of a filthy stranger?

Just as I thought of this, the banging ceased.

Silence befell, clouding the room with a veil of uneasiness. Tension weaved its way into every fibre of my being. My eyes drifted toward the only source of sound in the room: The ticking of my wall clock.

Quarter past seven.

I took a nervous step forward and ducked to see under the door. A pair of shoes still lingered outside. Deciding to hide and attack them once they'd step in, I began to tiptoe my way behind the door. But no, they weren't planning on stepping in at all. Suddenly, a gust of wind blasted through the door, making it burst into innumerable splinters. My shriek was cut short by a large piece of wood that flew across the room and crashed against my head. A sharp pain shot through my skull, stripping me of my senses entirely, and before I knew it, my vision had begun to blur. The last thing I saw was a pair of blazing orange eyes before darkness closed in overwhelmingly...
