Lemme start by saying one of my favorite comics on here is "I Wish I Were You" by @beta1042
Have you ever looked at a shoujo manga or any romance movie/novel and groan in frustration because the love interests lack basic human communications? Have you been confused by the fact that two friends who've been together for several years are suddenly easily torn apart by one person because they like them for one day?
Guess what -- "I Wish I Were You" does none of that.
It's a romance comic with realistic worries, realistic emotions, and with characters that actually think about their actions without overreacting. Like sometimes, you think they'll do something that'll irritate you, but you know in the end "wait -- that's not how so and so will do this. They're better than that". If you like your romance without the melodrama and with real worries that actually affect people, this is your comic.
As for my own:
"Our Universe" deals with falling in love at first sight and the years leading after them, but with an added sci-fi twist. How do you fall in love with someone you know little about but want to know the world of? Can being enraptured by a woman's starry eyes be the only reason to talk to her? This is a romance about how curiosity and attraction turn into something more, whether that be sugary sweet romance...or otherwise.
