Well not really! I know you now  I know what you like in music so it was worth making another friend.

Oh hey...my turn.
I'll just quote something from Of Monsters and Men. One of my favorite songs...Mountain Sound.
"I heard them calling in the distance
So I packed my things and ran
Far away from all the trouble
I had caused with my two hands
Alone we traveled on with nothing but a shadow
We fled far away"
You can search it on YT if you want the full song...

Is it odd that I read the first few lines to the tune of Toto's Africa? Looks pretty interesting though.
Here's one of my favorites:
"I got robbed of you twice
The lies, the life without you
I can't ever breathe without
Seeing your ghost everywhere
Gather 'round in sync"

Sugar in the Raw - Beware of Darkness

Hey alll
This is my favourite song at the moment

They never saw us coming
'Til they hit the floor
They just kept beggin for
More, more
Na na na na na na na
All dressed up for a hit and run
Na na na na na na na
All dressed up for a hit and run

I was brought up as a southern belle
I grew into the queen of hell
You were just a little stowaway
That stabbed her way to save herself
You always liked the taste of blood
And I get off when I point the gun
It's so good to have someone to be so bad with

Ooh this is interesting

"Living in the night
'Neath devils torn asunder
You call on me to solve a crooked rhyme
As I'm closing in
Imposing on your slumber
You call on me as bells begin to chime."

I think what it means that you're someone who operates in the darkness, always ready to deliver whatever, to whoever. Thats what I think, at least!

As for me, this song has been one of my favorites for awhile. It made something went "click" inside of me when I first heard it, if you guys get what I mean.

I'm seeing some pretty good songs. So...my turn.

This is a song I really like that I keep catching myself listening to as of late:

Sail on your own path, I'd only hold you back, when I say
That I look beyond the dark days, that are happening, at your fate

Will you carry on?
Set it down, the wind is gone
Pour it out
Morning star, rising from
Broken dark

Broken Dark by The Northern Hues

Hello, everyone! Nice to meet ya'!I like metal, symphonic rock and some more stuff I don't know how to name... Like Era, Gregorians and E Nomine. Especially, the last one... And here is part of favorite song (E Nomine - Mysteria):

Es ist Nacht... in meiner Welt
Wo ist das Licht ... das mich erhellt
Laute Stille... um mich herum
Macht mir Angst... weiß nicht warum

Die Wiederkehr...
Die Zeit ist nah...
Befiehl dein Heer
Mysteria...

Divini, sacri!
Divini, sacri!
Occultum habet,
Arcaus obscur
Divini, sacri...

This kind of sounds like someone going through some sort of ordeal. It reminds me off a song called Running Up that Hill.

"And if i onky could
Make a deal with God
Ad i get em to swap our places
Be running up that road
Be running up that hill
Be running up that hill
With no problem."

-Running Up that Hill - Kate Bush

Hello fellow metalhead! Im trying to expand my tastes, so I've been listening to Rammstein's Du Hast. I don't exactly know what the lyrics mean on that or what you shared, but I'll take a listen.

Well, this one (Mysteria) isn't metal  It's more some king of mysterious singing to me... And I think, I should give a translation...

It is night in my world...
Where is light that illuminates me?..
Loud silence is around me
Makes me scared... I don't know why

The return...
The time is nigh...
Command your troops...
Mystery...

Divine, sacred
Divine, sacred
The secret I have
Hidden in darkness...

Though I think you'll like Schwarze Sonne (The Black Sun) more
I like the moment with Latin:
Predator cerberus
qui vivit infernus
fames ardens
carme hominis
mortalis

(Predator Cerberus,
that lives in Hell
craves for mortal flesh)

"Cease to resist, giving my goodbye
Drive my car into the ocean
You'll think I'm dead, but I sail away..."

I'm not going to put the name of the band because I want to see who recognises it and, more importantly, how excited they get.

Moving forward, in reverse
Back to Earth, walking first.
Effect and cause, swap places
Rewind your logic.

Here I've been, familiar scene.
Took a ride in a time machine.
Into a world, that I knew,
Into a world in reverse.

Un-do, untie, unroll, rewind
(Reverse, reverse)
Count back, backtrack. Revive, survive.
(Reverse, reverse)

Sun comes up to the afternoon,
Living in a vaccum.
See the trees, they de-bloom
It'll be last week soon.

Un-do, untie, unroll, rewind
(Reverse, reverse)
Count back, backtrack. Revive, survive.
(Reverse, reverse)

The other one that's particularly significant to me at the moment is "Run" by Snow Patrol because it makes me think a lot about how challenging it can be to communicate with my youngest child, but that I will always be there at his side even though he often "can barely look at me" or "cannot hear my voice."
