Well, it's been a long week-plus, and I've been unfortunately struggling with terrible net connection in the past three days. However, I did finally get this done! At least, as much as I could. You see, I fell in love with every single playlist!
Of course, everyone who made a playlist gets a sketch with up to two characters, and I must say, I loved all of the playlists and was so enchanted by every one of them. Each had a different feel and flavor all its own. All of the playlists were superb. I'm humbly delighted to receive and to be able to experience all of these playlists. Sincerest thanks for doing this. I really can't convey in words how grateful I am for you doing this, and I hope the sketches I can provide you will be able to convey my feelings!
@60Six
I will confess, I listened to this one throughout first, because it was the first one posted. I was compelled by the very first video, âBottom of the Riverâ, which at first I didnât see the connection with witchesâŚbut now I do, and I loved how it went! I also loved how Delta Raeâs recurrence in the list, âDance in the Graveyardsâ, was a joyful, rapturous experience. âMeet Me in the Woodsâ surrounded me with a sea of dreams, and âLife in Monoâ took me back! I also felt like âTheyâ was reminscent of Covenâs famous âLala Lala Songâ. Bette Midler was unexpected (and very welcome!) and of course âSeason of the Witchâ, despite not being strictly about witchcraft, is very witchy indeed.
@miesmud
I feel the struggle in the quintessential outsider images presented by so much of the playlist. I was especially fond of the very masculine tones of the playlist, which reflects something I intend to present in my story which is often neglected: male witches. So overlooked, despite the whole philosophy of witchcraft being an egalitarian one. I especially loved the retro-influenced stylings of âThe Gatesâ, and the dreamy qualities of âSet On Fireâ really grabbed me. The disco-touched beat of âLife Itselfâ really engaged me too!
@Jewe11s
Oh my goodness. Where to begin! Iâm completely dazzled by so many incredible talents here, with breathtakingly beautiful songs Iâd never heard before. I found myself pausing to savor every moment. From the liquid atmosphere of âUnderâ that I could drown in blissfully to the enchanting âLife Size Ghostsâ to the rich beats of âWaited 4 Uâ, I felt immersed in rich soundscapes.
@TrustyShamrock
This one was so strange and curious! It was different to anything Iâve ever heard put together, and I was especially delighted to see a few of the songs that I have loved in past. âCome Into My Worldâ is one I hadnât thought of in this way, but it really fits so well!
@Damatris
I was captivated by this playlist, from all of its dramatic and robust melodies to its intricate spirituality. It was such a stirring experience, and I was especially captivated by the song âCity of the Deadâ!
@TACOBERTO
This playlist was so spiritual and rapturous in emotion! It made me remember some of the best times of my life, and it made me smile to hear these songs of dedication and meditative wisdom, as well as just some amazing music.
Because I loved all of the playlists so very much, I also wanted to extend to you a discount on my usual commission rates of half off. I don't know if you'll be interested, but with my limited means, there's very little I can do but what I do best. Whether or not you ever take advantage of the discount, I offer it in the spirit of friendship and gratitude. Thank you so much for doing this for me. I just love the playlists so much, and I hope you'll enjoy what I can do for you in return. Of course, as stated, you'll all receive finished sketches with up to two characters of your choice!
My favorite playlist that I feel suited the project most was @60Six 's, so please get in touch with me however you'd prefer with your desired art request of up to two characters! References are helpful.
Everyone else should definitely let me know what they'd like to see too, in their sketches! You can always private message me here, or I'm hushicho at gmail too.
Again, I really hope to convey how much I dearly love all of the playlists, and how grateful I am for you taking the time to create them. I was stunned and profoundly moved by each of them, and I'm so very thankful for what you've done. Each playlist had such distinctive character and personality, and I find it absolutely magnificent that they all communicated such different things to me. Each has a masterpiece in them. I hope that what they inspire for me will amount to even a small fraction of their greatness.
I thank you all humbly, again. I look forward to hearing from you and sketching for you! And I do hope that we'll continue on as friends in this dizzying world of webcomics.
Thank you so much, again.
