Alright I have seen quite a lot of promotions posts around here and mostly are the same, so let's make it a little different. Describe your main character using an object or animal, then tell why they are in the situation they are currently in but make it seem like it's something so trivial as dropping a cup of coffee by accident. Drop links and be creative, this will not only give you another view of your character but maybe helps you shaped their personality better.

Disclaimer I write short stories, so I guess I don't really have a main character but I'll have a go. Most of my characters could probably be best described as a cardboard cutout. But you're probably too distracted by the shadows dancing in the background...

Mmm My series has 3 main characters so let's give it a go:

Demeter: pink yandere axolotl, I think the yandere part explains what's up with her--

Erika: might as well be a bookmark bc she's small and is always reading. She was in a lot of pressure.

Alistair: empty wallet that had a drink with a demon and accidentally sold his soul

Monkey is playing with a toy in front of others so the grown ups come to take the toy away and now he's playing hide and seek from them.

Brick: Angry puppy suffering from solitude, he is stressed out because he can't stop looking at the past. He feels as if something is missing, he can't be at ease, though the presence of a familiar stranger gives him a strange feeling of comfort and relief.

Brazen: An alert bunny, ready to run away from danger, he took on the responsibility to live in another world away from his siblings, he now deals with having to live as a new self (reincarnation) while holding the hope in his heart he'll meet them again one day.

Love this idea!

Junming would be a walking and talking romance book - he's a hopeless romantic that loves cliches.

Grayson would be a PC - terrible workaholic and the CTO of a dating service startup called RomCon.

Fernanda would be a hyperactive dog that sniffs for juicy stories (she's a journalist) and her energy is in ample abundance.
