Monochromatic art but here are three Dominican queens

None of my characters are any real world ethnicities but a number of characters/ethnic groups in my world have darker skintones. This is Ophelia, I think she looks really neat

Here's my boy Cairo and his boss/mom(?) Giza.

Within the context of the story most the basis of Cairo's identity (birthday, country of origin, specific ethnicity, parentage/familial connections, birth name) have been withheld since childhood so that he can better adapt as an undercover agent. It's implied that Giza may have also experienced this growing up, but either way she's not letting anyone know anything about who she really is. So Cairo never learns his specific ethnicity, but later in the story he learns that one of his parents is latine (although I'm not sure how much he identifies himself as latino after this point, having not been raised in that culture). So, mixed/displaced/reconnecting(?).

well you don't have to identify with the culture to still be brown IG, so he still counts

ive got a looot of characters, so im only sending the brown characters from my current comic!

and more, but im too lazy to send them and i dont want this to be TOO long lol

Thank you!! I feel like Selene is one of my prettiest characters just in general. I love drawing her :sparkles: I’ve mostly just done sketches of her though.

I really like the character expression sheet you have here omg! You have so many cool looking characters. My current comic has a lot of different brown characters too but the art for it is so derpy it’s not on par with that painting I did :sob:

But when I’m not drawing just the sillies I have other story ideas that also have brown characters, here’s some recents from a character ref thing I was doing of the major characters.

@Leyelle Oh new character I see dropped!! Tell us a bit about him  also this is reminding me to draw more characters with glasses, even I wear glasses but I forget to give them to characters lol

He's half Korean and half Filipino and the male lead of a comic I've got in the works (and will hopefully pan out this time.) It's about him raising his daughter while trying to get to know a young woman he likes who is a nanny. Neither one of them really have time for romance because they are always caring for children and stressed about money, but they're trying to branch out more.

This is my first digital drawing of his daughter:

Beros from Sazzon is supposed to have a middle eastern look, although it can be difficult to tell in the pages due to my black and white artstyle.
