The color scheme and hairstyle is in the same sphere as Vicky, and since that character is probably the most recognizable, that's going to be a point of reference for many.

To my defense, this is her actual canon design. So when putting her in the challenge outfit, I pretty much just followed the given color scheme haha.

I actually have lotsa natural redheads. In the story setting, they are kind of prevalent. This one character is just a pretty prominent one.

There are more. Sorry for the awful collage. Most of them belong to a same race, commonly having red hair and purple eyes.

Angel Tryon (not officially in comic yet, little girl fyi)

And Alec Tryon (center) used to have red hair, believe it or not. I don't have any drawings of him in his youth yet, except that one of him dancing with Teresa that I wanna post everywhere.
