I agree. Maybe that webtoon can't get subs since it needs to manually signup to line webtoon. unlike views, it can be manipulated as guests maybe. But Does guests reader counted as views too?

Now I'm just curious which comic it is. That is just so bizarre. I can't imagine having that many people interested enough to view the comic but deciding it was so bad they just didn't.

Getting 1k views over the last 1 hour from just ads still sounds kind of suspicious to me. (Yea I have been keeping an eye, also it’s slow traffic months for most business right now) Last I tried ads didn’t work that great unless u pay a tone of them.

I read some comments, the author of Draan didn't use bots and also he doesn't want all that views.
I deleted my early post because I feel bad because his comic is downvoted a lot.

Yes. I can't see it anymore on webtoon, maybe the author deleted it himself because he wrote that he wanted to gain views and subscribers slowly. I contacted him on twitter.

Did someone contact and ask him if he used bots for all that views? I’m just wondering how come he suddenly talked about that now and decided to remove his comic.

Yes, someone did it and he said that he posted his comic on reddit, YouTube, Facebook etc. But he didn't have a lot views on his social networks.

I would imagine someone using bots would have had a ton of views on their other social media accounts too. I wonder if it was a glitch on webtoon. Sort of sad he deleted his comic.

Wowe there is no point in asking directly like that.

I found out I got blocked by that creator on Twitter maybe he saw the Tapas post? Honestly if he really didn’t use bots, deleting his comic is the last thing he should do. It gives off the impression that you are trying to hide something. If you actually get a lot of views that is great. If you really didn’t cheat the system then there is no fear letting Webtoon take a look at your series to make sure. (It might be a glitch on their part and it could help out fixing their own system who knows)

Its hard to imagine that someone can get 90,000+ views in the span of a month, not using bots, having low social media views and during a time where even popular creators are struggling, and not expect foul play. Something was going on and frankly, I still put more trust in Webtoons.

With that said, if there was foul play, it's not like anything came out of it. It didn't end up skyrocketing the subs or gaining more patrons. Essentially other than views, no rewards arrived so there's only so much I can complain about. It's like someone going into a store and stealing a coat hanger. Wow, oh my god, bankruptcy abound.

It would be a far different story if it happened on Tapastic or a site similar where there's a correlation between views and ad revenue (or at least there was, not sure how it is now) Unless I'm mistaken or Tapas has a way to deal with it, I feel such a thing could easily be abused on here.

With Webtoons, again there's only so much I can complain about.
