Just a fight scene so far; idk where the plot is going (it's not mine), but the main duo gives me a charming father-son vibe is all

There's also the original which goes into more depth, but it's being rebooted so you might not want to read it when it's not going to continue where it left off

Just dropping Ebisu here, this is such a fantastic comic. It's written and illustrated by a couple of friends of mine.

And my comic will eventually deal with a father-son relationship as a side-plot, but that relationship is, uh... not a happy one, that's for sure. That's not being tackled for a long while, those characters are yet to be introduced. I'll drop it here anyway, in case sci-fi/fantasy is also your jam.

How do you feel about characters that're practically brothers due to them basically being the same exact person? In fact, there is a brotherly-type relationship as the story progresses (no spoilers, but one character's arc is him finding a brother-figure lol).

Hmm I'd probably take a look but mostly because of the 'exact same person' part xD It sounds like alter-egos or parallel selves and I love that theme haha. But sure, what's the name of the story?

This thread is just perfect for me! The manga I'm currently working on sees two brothers as the protagonists. It does have a similar tone to FMA, although the concept wasn't inspired by it.
The story revolves around two brothers (Frederick and Nigel) who, after a terrible incident, lose the rest of their family. Years later, the two are presented with a chance to save their loved ones and they both embark on a journey in the hopes of rescuing them while also defeating darkness.

Frederick is the kindhearted and courageous one, who always strives to help people in need, whereas Nigel is a coward and doesn't like to risk his own life. Hope you'll like their dynamic!

Genre(s): Fantasy, Action, Adventure, Drama

Summary: In an age where darkness threatens humanity, a terrible accident forever changes the lives of the two brothers Frederick and Nigel. After three long years, they are met by a strange yet eccentric individual who seems to know a lot about their past.

A small space crew is sent on the first trip to Neptune by the space military, but due to the military's incompetence, pretty much everyone in the crew is inexperienced. Also most of the crew is under 20, so there's that.

The story focuses on all of the crew members and their relationships to one another. This includes captain and lieutenant captain, two brothers as different as night and day. One's a stickler for rules and order, the other just wants to have fun. (I also plan to go more into their relationship with their father, but that hasn't come up quite as much yet.)

(These sketches below aren't in the story. I just thought it'd show off their dynamic better.)

Two other brothers are featuring heavily in the story right now, but I can't go much further than that without going into big spoiler territory.

I just read the second chapter! Since the first one is an image, I must say it's cute so I'll keep reading, though, your art is cute! It'd be cool to see a comic version in the future I know it's a lot of work but really would pay off! Also, I don't know if you use it but I recommend wattpad, people can comment on specific paragraphs they like, so you could like use both tapas and wattpad for promoting!

Actually, if you gain a following in wattpad, I'm sure you could promote your comic version so readers there read on Tapas ^^ In any case, it's just an idea loved the sketches of the brothers <3

Not exactly parallel selves, more like "two bitter rivals that don't realize that they're similar than they thought" type of deal. In the webcomic dub they have the same voice. :v

I think mine might fit here, if you like furry comics. Mines starts off as a simple story of basic family drama. Typical teen hates obeying dad. Later things get a bit crazy but I'm not that far along yet.

This reply is more for others that read this! I wasn't expecting furry recommendations so I didn't specify, but I'd like to avoid furry comics that are like... 'realistic' or look a lot like a human but with animal parts, something like that.

Furry comics like the one you just showed me are okay though! Cute styles like aggretsuko, odd taxi, zootopia or well drawn sonic like characters are good! So if you know of any with the them and are 'cute' like these examples, those are greatly welcome ^^
