I have a huge Standard French accent when I speak, people think I am from France all the time (unless the people are from France, then they just stare at me blankly, trying to understand how I can have a Mauritian accent and obviously not be from Mauritius). But heck, for you, I'll even transform into an unwashed, ill-raised fifteen-year-old Quebecois who watches GoT in French and thinks Genie Bouchard is the best female tennis player in the world.
As for how the two French dialects are different, let me show you. The following sentence: "I parked my car in the parking lot and went shopping."
France: J'ai garé ma voiture dans le parking, puis je suis allé faire du shopping.
Québec: J'ai stationné mon char dans l'stationnement, pis j'suis allé faire du magasinage.
