We are currently looking for an artist to join our comic starting in January! We (Bezel and Shii) currently work on a series on Tapas called “Riven”, and due to an overload of work on our end we need a third set of hands to work on it with us! We are not a professional business, we work on this on our own time and hope to make money off of it at some point if it gains any popularity. At this point in time we are looking for someone who can help us lay down the sketching stage of the pages to help lighten our workload and smoothen the process.
How our pages are usually done:
Shii writes the scripts, and Shii and Bezel storyboard them
Shii sets up the page panels, speech bubbles, and 3D models for the page layout

We need someone to help lay out the sketches (third stage) using the pages we set up and pass them along to Shii for the lineart and coloring. This person must be able to replicate Bezel’s style of art in the comics, this is a necessity and non-negotiable.
Because we have no experience having hired an artist for comic work before (and cannot find info on how much it would cost to do only one stage of the work rather than all of it) we can only really guess how much we’re supposed to pay. Right now we are willing to offer $50 per page, and $55 per “complex” page (complex = fight scenes, extreme detail, etc, not as common as regular pages). We estimate we would probably need help with roughly 5-7 pages a month. You will get listed as an official artist in the comic credits alongside us, and if desired we would be willing to pay a small percentage of money we make off the comic while you work on it with us (right now it makes nothing, but we hope to build a reader base and do not mind sharing the profits with those we work with one bit)! Let us know if you are looking for a different price payment wise, we are definitely flexible if this isn’t a good offer, we were just estimating and couldn’t figure out how much would be a good offer, we’ve never hired someone for this before.
