I am just here trying to figure out the assumingly very deep and artistic meaning behind Josh posting a random farm and train picture in response to this whole thing.
That being said... I wish this whole thing would just calm down already.
Webtoons isn't dying.
Tapas isn't tokyopop.
Webtoons isn't a superior nor shit site, some creators do well on it, others don't.
Tapas isn't a superior nor shit site, some creators do well on it, others don't.
I personally prefer Tapas because they have staff that more actively engages with the community and promotes various unseen content, and because Tapas are more progressive and allow more adult content.
Others prefer Webtoons because of the larger audience.
At the end of the day, I think it's immature to shit on either of the sites just because someone's not doing well on it. It's our jobs as creators to make our work and approach good enough to reach the audiences we want.
Tapas and Webtoons are both great sites because they provide us with the OPPORTUNITY to do so more effectively, and we should be thankful that we live in a day and age where that opportunity exists.
Which site you then choose to rely on more or direct your audience towards is up to you.
As for stats going down, anyone intending to approach this business professionally needs to learn to take into account vacation trends, school start and other factors that may affect their revenue.
