I chose "Drama" because that is the main ingredient that binds all story-telling, even in Fantasy / BL / Action / Horror / Romance / Others.
Relationships dynamics (or Drama) leads to confrontation (or Action) to tell a winding tale (or Fantasy / Horror / Romance) where you have a protagonist, antagonist and supporting characters.
"Drama" is the spice that binds the various flavors of story-telling. Without the spicy, the meal would be basic and boring.
Basic and boring Action.
Basic and boring Romance.
Basic and boring Fantasy.
Who ever said they loved consuming "basic and boring" everyday? Food for thought .....

P.S. Comedy is the most difficult expression of the performing arts. Timing is key. If one masters comedy, one will nail ambitious dramas and mysteries time after time.
The Few and the Brave tread the path least taken (currently Comedy | Drama | Mystery | SciFi). That involves the "heavy-lifting" where not everyone can do it.
If this was easy-peasy, everyone and their grandmother would do it.
Strangely, I have almost five times (???) more subscribers for Vampires than I have for Fantasy.
